Our agency is raising funds to help put an end to childhood cancer by assisting families with kids battling cancer. DIPG is a deadly form of brain cancer that affects children around the world. Tommy Ruddy and Chad Carr are just two of the 200 to 400 children that are diagnosed in the United States each year.
While Tommy and Chad lost their fight to this devastating pediatric brain cancer, both of their parents have continued the fight to find a cure. With a less than 1% survival rate, and up until recently, it was considered dangerous to even biopsy, DIPG is in need of attention. The Ruddy and Carr families want to focus on the rare tumors that are often looked-past so that no family has to lose their child. “No child should have to deal with the effects of cancer and we want to increase the chances of recovery and survival by supporting families of children that are diagnosed.”
