Noffsinger Insurance Agencies Announces Western Michigan Charity Drive to Assist Families of Children Fighting Cancer
Noffsinger Insurance Agencies, a privately owned provider of insurance, financial planning, and related services that works with families and business owners throughout the Grand Rapids region, is announcing a local charity event to raise support for research into childhood brain cancer.

Noffsinger Insurance Agencies, a Grand Rapids firm offering insurance and financial preparation assistance to communities in western Michigan, is launching a regional charity drive to raise awareness of deadly forms of childhood brain cancer and generate donations that will be used to fund research into treatments and cures.
Between 200-400 children each year are diagnosed with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma, a rare, aggressive, and deadly form of brain cancer. DIPG has claimed many lives, including two young local boys named Tommy Ruddy and Chad Carr.
With a less than 1% survival rate, DIPG has historically been considered too volatile for even a simple biopsy, but the Ruddy and Carr families are heading up donation gathering efforts for further research into potential treatments and cures, and Noffsinger Insurance Agencies is joining the fight.
“No child should have to deal with the effects of cancer and we want to increase the chances of recovery and survival by supporting families of children that are diagnosed,” says Mark Noffsinger, owner and agency principle of Noffsinger Insurance Agencies.
The Noffsinger team is assisting the Ruddy and Carr families in gathering local support for the cause through a series of publicity campaigns over email and social media. This charity event is only one of many hosted by the Noffsinger Insurance Agencies since the firm became a regional affiliate of the “Agents of Change” charity network.
