Having low literacy skills can really hinder anyone to move forward, despite any potential they may have. At the Literacy Center of West Michigan, adults struggling with reading and writing can increase their literacy skills through the help of the volunteers.
|Connecting The Community Through Literacy|
The programs at the Literacy Center of West Michigan benefit the whole community by tackling an issue that needs to be solved, one in which 1 in 8 adults in Kent County are functionally illiterate. We need the current leaders of our communities to be best prepared in order to positively create and influence our youth. Our support is essential to the future.
The Literacy Center of West Michigan is looking to help anyone who wants to eliminate their communication barriers by making great friendships and embracing the power of literacy.
